Furniture Removal in Stone Mountain, GA

An old couch, a sleeper sofa that won't fit through the door, a bedroom set you're done with. We take it apart where needed, pad the door frames and corners, and carry it out of your home without gouges in the walls or floors.

Getting heavy furniture out without damage

A lot of furniture came into your home in pieces, or before the trim and railings went up. Getting it back out is where walls get scraped and stair treads get dented. So we measure the tight spots first. Legs, feet, drawers and doors come off, and anything with a hard edge gets wrapped before it moves.

This is the right call when you have one big piece or a handful of them and don't want to rent a truck or ask friends to lift. Bigger jobs, like a full room of stuff or a packed lower level, go to our junk removal and basement cleanouts crews, who work the same careful way.

We've been hauling furniture out of homes since 2021, and we have over 1,200 Google reviews from people who let us inside.

What our furniture removal covers

Taking it apart where it helps
Bed frames, sectionals, bunk beds and big desks come apart. We bag and tape the hardware so no bolts end up in your carpet.
Padding on door frames and corners
Guards go on door jambs and tight corners along the way out. Moving blankets cover pieces with glass, mirrors or sharp edges.
Floor runners on the path
Runners go down over hardwood, tile and carpet from the room to the door. Stairs get the most attention, because that's where most dings happen.
Heavy and awkward pieces
Solid wood armoires, china cabinets, glass-top tables and power recliners with cords and motors. We plan the lift and the angle before anyone picks it up.
Loading and hauling away
We load the truck and take it off your property. Pieces in good shape get set aside for donation when we can.
A quick sweep before we go
We sweep where the piece sat and along the path out. You get the room back clean.

Signs it's time to get that furniture out

  • New furniture is on the way

The new sofa or bed arrives soon and the old one is still in the room. Getting it out first makes delivery day a lot easier.

  • The frame is broken or sagging

A cracked frame, broken springs or a mattress with a dip in the middle won't get better. It just takes up space.

  • Mildew, odors or pet damage

Humid summers can push mildew into cushions stored in a garage or basement. Once a piece smells or the fabric is chewed up, it's usually done.

  • You're moving or downsizing

Not everything fits in the next place. Clearing out what isn't going cuts down on moving costs and packing time.

  • It's too heavy to move safely

Dragging a dresser down the stairs alone is how backs and banisters get hurt. That's a good time to hand it off.

What moves the price of furniture removal

We price by the job, and you hear the number before we lift anything. Two couches can be very different jobs, so we don't post flat figures. These are the things that change it.

Size and weight

A loveseat and a solid oak armoire take very different effort. Heavier pieces may need an extra set of hands.

How many pieces

More pieces means more truck space. A full bedroom set costs more than a single chair, but less per piece.

Stairs and tight access

Second floors, basements, narrow halls and sharp stair turns add time and padding.

Disassembly time

Sectionals, bunk beds and wall units that need to come apart take longer than a piece that walks out whole.

How furniture removal day goes

  1. 1

    Call for a free estimate

Tell us what's going and where it sits. We come out, look at it and give you an upfront price with no hidden fees.

  2. 2

    Walk the path first

Before anything gets lifted, we walk from the piece to the truck. We check door widths, stair turns and railings, and decide what needs to come apart.

  3. 3

    Protect, then take apart

Runners and jamb guards go down. Then we remove legs, doors and hardware and wrap the pieces with glass or finished edges.

  4. 4

    Carry out and load

Two of us carry each big piece and call out every turn. It goes straight into the truck, not dragged across the yard.

  5. 5

Sweep up and check with you

We pull the runners, sweep the floor and walk the path with you to look over walls and floors before we leave.

Furniture removal questions

Do I need to take anything apart before you come?

No. We bring the tools and handle it. Just empty out drawers and cabinets if you can, so nothing personal gets hauled off by mistake.

Will you take just one piece?

Yes. A single couch or mattress is a normal job for us. If you have a few other items to go, we can take them on the same trip.

What if something scratches my wall or floor?

We work to keep that from happening with jamb guards, runners and wrapped edges. We're licensed and insured, and we walk the path with you at the end so you can point out anything you see.

Where does my old furniture go?

Pieces in usable shape get set aside for donation when we can. Metal frames and parts go to recycling where possible. The rest is disposed of properly.

Can you pick up my old couch this week?

Most weeks, yes. Our schedule often has room the day you call or the day after, though that changes with the season and the workload. When you phone, we'll tell you the earliest opening we have and set an estimate time that fits your day.

Do you work outside Stone Mountain?

Yes. We remove furniture in Tucker, Redan, Clarkston, Decatur, Stonecrest and other nearby towns. Check our Service Areas page or ask when you call.
