Basement Cleanouts in Stone Mountain

We empty basements from the back corner to the bottom step. Old furniture, boxes, broken appliances, damp carpet and years of storage go up the stairs and out of your home. We pad the tight spots, carry with care and leave the floor swept.

When a Basement Cleanout Makes Sense

Basements fill up a little at a time. A box goes down after a move, a chair after a new couch arrives, and one day the water heater sits behind a wall of stuff. Bring us in when there's more down there than you can drag to the curb in an afternoon, or when the stairs make hauling it out yourself a bad idea.

The hard part of a basement job is the way out. Narrow stairs, a tight turn at the landing, a low ceiling and a door frame that's easy to gouge. We plan the carry before we lift anything, pad the corners and rails, and take heavy pieces apart when that is safer for your walls than forcing them through.

Our crews have been clearing basements since we opened in 2021. The business is licensed and insured, which matters most on a job where everything rides up a narrow stairwell.

What Our Basement Cleanouts Include

Everything goes, or only what you pick
Clear the whole room or point to the piles that go. We work from your list and ask before we touch anything that looks like it could matter.
Padding on stairs and door frames
We put protection on handrails, corners and the top of the stairwell before the first load. Drywall corners and painted trim are where most damage happens, so we cover them first.
Taking apart big pieces
Sectional sofas, old bed frames, workbenches and shelving units often went down the stairs in pieces or were built down there. We take them apart so they come up clean instead of scraping the walls.
Wet and moldy items
Soaked carpet, warped boxes and swollen particleboard get bagged before we carry them through your home, so drips and smell stay out of the rest of the house.
Donation and recycling sorts
Furniture and household goods in good shape go in a separate pile for a donation drop. We pull metal and other recyclables out as we work, so less of your basement goes to the landfill.
A swept floor at the end
When the last load is out, we sweep the basement and the path we used. You get an open room you can actually use.

Signs Your Basement Is Due for a Cleanout

  • The furnace is buried

When storage crowds the water heater, furnace or breaker panel, it's time to clear it. A repair tech needs room to work around that equipment, and you need an open path to the main shutoff if a pipe ever leaks.

  • The room smells stale

Georgia summers are humid, and a packed basement traps damp in cardboard and fabric. Getting the clutter out is usually step one in drying the space.

  • Water got in at some point

After a leak or a heavy rain, wet items start to break down fast. Getting them out early keeps the damage from spreading.

  • You're selling or moving

Buyers and movers both want an empty basement. Clearing it first makes the rest of the move go faster.

  • The stairs stop you

If the only thing keeping that old couch down there is the climb, that's the part we handle.

How the Job Day Runs

  1. 1

    Free on-site estimate

We come look at the basement, the stairs and the path out. Before anyone lifts a box, you'll know the full price, and there are no hidden fees waiting at the end.

  2. 2

    Protect the path

We pad rails, door frames and corners, and lay down floor covering from the basement to the door. This takes a few minutes and saves your walls.

  3. 3

    Carry, sort and load

We take apart what needs it, bag anything wet and carry it all up. Donations and recyclables are sorted as they come out to the truck.

  4. 4

    Sweep and walk-through

We sweep the basement and the path we used, pull up the padding and walk the space with you so you can see it's done right.

What Moves the Price of a Basement Cleanout

Your price comes down to two things: the share of our truck your items fill, and the effort it takes to get them from the basement floor to the driveway. We size up both during the free estimate and give you the number before work begins. Nothing is added once the job is done.

Volume
The more truck space your items fill, the more the job costs. A few large pieces cost less than a full basement.
Stairs and access
Steep or narrow stairs, a tight landing or a long carry to the truck add time. An outside basement door can make the job quicker.
Heavy or awkward items
Pianos, old freezers, gun safes and built-in workbenches take more hands and sometimes extra time to take apart.
Water damage
Soaked carpet and wet boxes weigh more and need bagging before they come through your home.

Basement Cleanout Questions

Something not covered here? (404) 383-6542

Do I need to bring things up the stairs before you get there?

No. Leave everything where it is. Carrying heavy items up a basement stair is exactly what we're there to do, and it's where most people get hurt.

Will you damage my walls or stairs?

We pad the rails, corners and door frames before we start and take big pieces apart instead of forcing them. Slow, planned carries are how we keep the stairwell looking the way it did. At the end, we look it over with you during the walk-through.

Can you take a wet or moldy carpet?

Yes. We cut it into manageable rolls, bag it and carry it out so it doesn't drip through the house. If the moldy area is large, we'll tell you what we see during the estimate.

What happens to the things you haul away?

Usable items go to donation, metals and other recyclables get recycled, and only what's left goes to the landfill. We sort as we load.

Can you clear a garage or an old storage unit on the same trip?

Yes. Many people pair a basement job with one of our garage cleanouts or storage unit cleanouts. Mention it on the call and we'll price it all together during the estimate.

How do I know you do good work?

Homeowners have left us over 1,200 Google reviews. Read a few, then have us out for the free estimate and judge the crew for yourself.
