Appliance Removal in Stone Mountain, GA
We unhook your old fridge, washer, dryer or stove, wrap it, and carry it out of your home without scraping floors or door frames. Then it goes to recycling. You hear a clear price before we lift anything.
Getting a Heavy Appliance Out Is the Hard Part
Appliances are heavy, awkward and full of things that can leak. A refrigerator can weigh well over 200 pounds. A washer still holds water in its pump and hoses. Drag either one across a kitchen floor and you leave marks you will look at for years.
We work slowly where it counts. Water lines get shut off and drained into a bucket. Hoses get capped or tied up so nothing drips across your floor on the way out. Doors come off a fridge when the hallway is tight, and corners get padded before the unit tips onto the dolly.
We have been in business since 2021, and we are licensed and insured. That matters when a crew is walking a 250-pound fridge past your trim.
What Appliance Removal Includes
- Careful disconnection
- We shut off water valves, drain washer and ice maker lines, and unplug everything. For gas ranges and dryers, we ask that the gas be shut off and capped by a gas professional before we arrive.
- Protecting floors and trim
- Before anything rolls, runners cover hardwood, tile and vinyl along the route. Door jambs and stair rails get wrapped in moving pads. A shoulder dolly with straps carries the load, so the weight never sits on your floor.
- Carry-out from anywhere
- Kitchens, laundry rooms, basements, garages and upstairs rooms. If the unit got in, we can usually get it out, even if a door has to come off its hinges for a few minutes.
- Recycling and proper disposal
- Anything that cools, like a fridge, chest freezer or window unit, carries gas sealed inside its lines. We drop those at recyclers set up to draw that gas out safely before the shell is scrapped. The steel from washers, dryers and stoves goes to a scrap yard, not the landfill.
- Quick sweep after
- Moving a fridge or washer turns up dust, lint and the odd lost magnet. We sweep the spot before we leave so it is ready for the new unit.
Signs It Is Time to Haul the Old One Away
You already bought the replacement
Delivery crews often charge extra to take the old unit, or skip it altogether. We can come before or after delivery.
It is parked in the garage
The old fridge that became a garage cooler runs hard through Georgia summers. If it barely keeps cold, it is costing you power every month.
Repair costs more than it is worth
A failed compressor or a cracked washer tub on an older unit is often the end of the road.
It leaks or smells
A slow leak under a washer or a fridge with a dead seal can damage flooring and grow mold. Better to pull it now.
You are clearing out a house
Selling, moving or settling an estate usually leaves a few appliances nobody wants.
How the Job Goes on the Day
- 1
You call, we look
Give us a ring and pick a time for your free on-site estimate. On that visit we check the appliance, measure the doorways and stairs on the way out, and tell you the price before any work begins.
- 2
We prep the path
Runners go down, frames get padded, and we check that water and power are off. Anything that could drip gets drained or capped.
- 3
We move it out
The unit is strapped to a dolly and walked out at a pace that keeps it under control. On stairs, two of us handle it, one above and one below.
- 4
We clean up and haul it
We sweep the spot, check your floors and walls with you, and take the appliance to recycling or scrap.

What Moves the Price
We give upfront pricing with no hidden fees. The number depends on what is coming out and how hard it is to reach, and you hear it before we start.
- Size and weight
- A compact dryer is a lighter lift than a side-by-side fridge or a chest freezer.
- Stairs and tight spots
- A washer in the basement or a fridge wedged behind a narrow kitchen doorway means extra carrying and a second person on the stairs.
- Cooling units
- A fridge or freezer needs an extra stop at a recycler that drains its gas before scrapping. That added handling can nudge the price up a little.
- How many items
- Adding a second appliance or other junk to the same trip usually costs less than a separate visit.
Appliance Removal Questions
Something not covered here? (404) 383-6542
Do you disconnect the appliance, or do I need to?
We handle water lines and electrical plugs. Gas is different: please have the gas shut off and capped by a gas pro before we come. Hardwired units like some wall ovens should be disconnected by an electrician first.
Does the fridge need to be empty?
Yes, please empty it and unplug it a day early if you can so the freezer can defrost. That keeps water off your floors on the way out.
How soon can you come?
We offer same-day and next-day service when there is room on the calendar. Phone us and we will tell you which openings we have.
Will my old appliance end up in a landfill?
Not if we can help it. Metal goes to scrap recycling, and fridges and freezers go to recyclers that drain their gas first. Plastic and insulation that cannot be recycled are disposed of the legal way.
Can you take other stuff on the same trip?
Sure. Many customers add an old mattress or boxes from the garage. See our furniture removal and garage cleanouts pages for more on that work.
